Integrated Community Solutions (ICS-CIC) is delighted to announce that based on their very successful “Social Business Initiative Nottinghamshire” project that ended in March 2015, the Big Lottery Fund has agreed to fund a further similar project in Derbyshire. This project will enable ICS-CIC to help establish and give professional support to aid the creation of up to 10 brand new social enterprise Community Interest Companies in some of the most disadvantaged communities in Derbyshire and the City of Derby.
Many of these communities are former coalfield or industrial areas where their historic industries have long since gone so are in need of more ‘grassroots’ or ‘peer to peer’ support to improve their local economies and create employment opportunities. ICS-CIC is also very proud to announce that in 2014/15 they have now helped secure grant funding in excess of £1Million for Schools, PTA’s and Community Groups across the country.
Projects have included After-School Clubs, Gardening, Outdoor Learning, Sport & Physical Activity, ICT, Play Equipment, Inter-Generational Activities, Sensory Facilities, Mental Health & Special Educational Needs Activities, Building Refurbishments, Healthy Living, Older Persons Activities, Broadcast Media and Disability Sports Equipment
